Thank you to everyone who attended Legislative Coffees and Cracker Barrels last Saturday. Your attendance was noticed! So much so, that the opponents spent the week begging people to write and show up at the coffees and cracker barrels this week. Last week in Sioux Falls, one legislator polled the audience by a show of hands. There was about a 50/50 split of pro vs anti Common Core. Let’s be sure we are the majority at each event throughout the state. If you attended last week in Sioux Falls, please attend again this week if you can as there will be different legislators present. These are great opportunities to meet face to face with legislators and to share with them your questions and concerns. If you have samples of your children’s work to show them, please bring it along.
Saturday, February 8, there are legislative coffees and cracker barrels being held in Aberdeen, Canton, Custer, Hills City, Huron, Madison, Piedmont, Pierre, and Sioux Falls. Check the following list for more details. If you live in one of these areas, please consider attending. The reach of our email lists are limited. Please forward through your networks and post on your social media sites.
